Umami alternative: Nordva Launch

Umami is open-source web analytics that does not use cookies: pages, sources, UTM parameters, goals, funnels, retention, user journeys, and revenue and attribution reports; the cloud's Business plan adds session replays and heatmaps. Revenue is tracked by sending an event with revenue and currency properties from your site; the attribution report credits a chosen page view or event to referrers, paid ads and UTM data. This page sets it next to Nordva Launch on the things a developer checks first: price, API, MCP support and scope. Vendor facts were read from umami.is on 2026-09-24; prices change, so verify before deciding.

Umami Nordva Launch
What it is Umami is open-source web analytics that does not use cookies: pages, sources, UTM parameters, goals, funnels, retention, user journeys, and revenue and attribution reports; the cloud's Business plan adds session replays and heatmaps. Revenue is tracked by sending an event with revenue and currency properties from your site; the attribution report credits a chosen page view or event to referrers, paid ads and UTM data. One API and MCP server for changelog, waitlist, feedback triage, in-app notifications, and read-only Stripe revenue, contacts and attribution.
Free tier Yes: Umami Cloud Hobby is $0: up to 100K events a month, 1 website, 6 months of data retention, community support, with the revenue and attribution reports but without API or MCP access. Self-hosting is free (MIT licence). Pro and Business have a 14-day free trial. Yes: 2 projects, each with 100 waitlist signups and 25 changelog entries; web analytics up to 10,000 events a month and a Stripe connection; API and MCP included; no card
Entry price $20/month, billed monthly (the FAQ says billing is monthly; no yearly price is shown) (Pro: 1 million events a month included, then $0.00003 per event; up to 20 websites and 10 team members; 2 years of data retention; API access, MCP access, email reports and email support). Business $200/month: 10 million events included, then $0.00002 per event, unlimited websites and team members, 5 years of retention, 5,000 session replays included (then $0.005 each), heatmaps, white-labelling, a streaming API, email and chat support. Enterprise: custom (SSO, uptime SLA, audit log). $19/month (Indie), about 20% off annually
Public API Yes: API access is listed on Pro and above, not on Hobby. The API includes revenue endpoints (totals, over time, by a dimension such as country or referrer, with UTM filters) and an attribution endpoint. The streaming API is on Business and above and, per the FAQ, is not in the self-hosted version. Yes: REST, keys scoped to one project (1 to 3 per project by plan), idempotent writes
MCP server Yes: 'MCP access' is listed on Pro, Business and Enterprise. Umami Cloud's remote server is at https://cloud.umami.is/mcp, authenticated with a Cloud API key, and all its tools are read-only; self-hosted Umami can turn on its own MCP endpoint with MCP_ENABLED=1. Yes: mcp.nordva.dev, one server for every primitive, on every plan including Free. Works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code and Windsurf

What Umami offers

  • Hobby plan free on Umami Cloud (100K events a month, 1 website, 6 months of retention), and free to self-host under the MIT licence
  • Does not use cookies and does not collect personal data, per its FAQ
  • Revenue is an event with revenue and currency properties sent from your site; the docs mention no Stripe or payment-provider integration. The API can group revenue by a dimension such as referrer, and the home page says revenue tracking 'connects every visit, channel, and campaign to the money it brought in'
  • Attribution report credits a conversion (a page view or an event) to referrers, paid ads and UTM data, first-click or last-click
  • Read-only MCP server on Pro and above, and in self-hosted Umami when enabled
  • Cloud servers in the US and EU

Based in United States (Umami Software, Inc., registered in Delaware, per its terms).

Where Nordva Launch differs

Umami gives you cookieless analytics with revenue and attribution reports even on its free plan, and you can host it yourself. Revenue there is an event your site sends at checkout, and the attribution report credits that event to a source. Nordva Launch reads Stripe itself (read-only, on every plan) and traces each paying customer to a first visit, so renewals and payments that never pass through your site count too, and the same key runs a waitlist, a changelog and feedback on every plan. Umami keeps data longer than Launch's 90 days of raw events and can be self-hosted; Launch cannot.
